Story

Prasad, portrayed by Sapthagiri, is a 38-year-old man working at a star hotel in Malaysia. Despite his stable job and earnest desire to marry, he remains single, primarily due to his father’s insistence on a hefty dowry of ₹2 crores. This demand becomes a significant hurdle in Prasad’s quest for marital bliss. His life takes a turn when he meets Priya, played by Priyanka Sharma, who shares his aspirations of settling abroad.

As their relationship develops, Prasad seeks the counsel of an astrologer, hoping for a solution to his predicament. The astrologer suggests that only a change in his father’s mindset can pave the way for his marriage. The narrative unfolds as Prasad navigates familial expectations, societal norms, and personal desires, all while striving to fulfill his dream of matrimony.

Conclusion

Pelli Kaani Prasad endeavors to merge comedy with a critique of societal norms, particularly focusing on the dowry system’s impact on personal relationships. While the film succeeds in highlighting these issues, its execution lacks the finesse required to leave a lasting impression. The performances, especially by Sapthagiri and Muralidhar Goud, provide moments of engagement, but the overall narrative feels predictable.

For audiences seeking a light-hearted film that touches upon relevant social themes, Pelli Kaani Prasad offers a modest viewing experience. However, those looking for a more profound exploration of these issues might find the film’s approach somewhat superficial.
